My All Time Favorite Author

When I was 16, I traveled to Europe for the first time and while I was sitting in the back of a van going from city to city; I was devouring my first Jodi Picoult book. It was called Plain Truth and was about a heart wrenching story of an Amish family that found a deceased baby in their barn.

It was the first book (that I can really remember) that made me think about the characters & the story long after I read it and I also have reread it a few times.  Picoult is a master in how she weaves the characters lives throughout the present and past and how you are able to understand each character in their own words.

I have read every single book of hers and I will always be amazed at how she can pick a topic and create strong characters. About 9 years ago, I got to meet Jodi at my local Books & Co. and it was everything that I had ever hoped for.  She was so kind and took the time to talk to each person who came to hear her read and meet her.
